Posted on: Tue, December 08, 2015
Tempel Chicago has earned International Standards Organization (ISO) recertification for its outstanding quality management system. The facility earned the ISO 9001:2008 recertification in September for the manufacture of magnetic steel laminations for the electronic and electrical industries. To earn recertification, the facility had to:
- Demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of its quality management system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Also in September, Tempel Chicago earned ISO/TS 16949:2009 recertification for the manufacture of magnetic steel laminations. This certification works in conjunction with ISO 9001:2008 and defines the quality management system requirements for the design, development, production and when relevant, the installations and service of automotive-related products.
