State-of-the-Art Laser Cutting - Providing any quantity of parts that product development may require utilizing material thicknesses ranging from 0.004” (0.10mm) to 0.50” (12.7mm) and sizes up to 60” (1500mm) x 120” (3000mm).
Blanking capabilities - Including production of special design blanks for rotors and stators up to 48 inches [1220 mm] and segment laminations for large power generators. Automated and manual notching equipment is also available, which can stamp rotor and stator laminations concurrently, providing process and cost advantages. In addition, low-volume progressive stamping can be used for small production runs (mostly for automotive prototypes).
Core Assembly and Value Added Services - Offering precision MIG, TIG and Plasma arc welding, stack pinning, resistance welding of vent assemblies, deburring and recoating, aluminum bar insertion and brazing end rings on prototype rotor cores, rotor shaft insertion, stator slot insulation insertion, drilling, tapping, and mounting hardware. Tempel’s die-casting capabilities allow production of aluminum die-cast rotors to a wide variety of specifications with a high degree of precision. And, post die-casting processes include quenching, ID reaming and burnishing, and OD grinding.
