Notching is dedicated to the special production requirements of larger diameter laminations. We utilize the latest state-of-the-art equipment and processes to produce laminations for the Industrial, Hermetic, Specialty and Traction Motor Markets, as well as a variety of Generator Application.

At Tempel, we've always made it our mission to procure the latest in proven technology therefore; we have invested in high precision automated and semi-automated notching machines that can produce finished stators up to 60 inches or 1500mm. This advanced technology gives us the ability to stamp rotor and stator laminations concurrently providing process and cost advantages over traditional manual operations. Twin cell presses have unmatched slot precision, consistency, and automated parts handling features that are capable of high-speed production for medium to high volume lots. This superior technology helps us to achieve our goals of providing you with the finest notching products available at the lowest costs possible.

We also know that flexibility is important. That's why our facilities are also equipped with manual or semi-automated blanking and notching presses. These presses have a slightly lower tooling costs requirement and are specially designed for low-volume runs and smaller sized parts.

Currently we have the capability to manufacture single blank cores with diameters up to 60 inches or 1500mm. Additionally we have the capability to manufacture large segments with diameter up to 60' or 20 meters.
