Tempel performs layout inspection and/or functional verification to customer engineering drawings and performance standards for each product as specified in the control plans. Results are made available for customer review. Tempel has provided each manufacturing facility with the necessary tools to perform precision layout inspections of all product dimensions.

Tempel monitors and measures the characteristics of the product to verify that product requirements have been met. These measurements are conducted at various stages of the product manufacturing process according to the control plan.

Tempel inspects the product as designated by the control plan; holds product until the required inspection and tests have been received and verified. Tempel uses direct process activities toward defect prevention with methods, such as statistical process control, mistake-proofing, visual controls, rather than defect detection.

Tempel conducts audits of packaged final product to verify conformance to all specified requirements (e.g. product, packaging, labeling) at an appropriate frequency. These dock audits, are based upon sampling and are generally performed after final inspection but prior to shipment.
