Our Tempel Technical Team, which consists of the Marketing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance departments, helps companies to meet specific needs and requirements. They begin by looking at what the customer needs and then determine the appropriate material for the application.

Coils of steel processed by Tempel routinely undergo complete performance testing before it is accepted for shipment or acceptance into inventory.

Steel processing by Tempel exceeds two million pounds a day. For customers of the Steel Services Group, this means customers' needs can usually be met due to our large inventory of steel. Orders may be made up of combinations of both electrical and non-electrical steel.

Orders are securely banded on plastic or wood pallets, and then wrapped with rust inhibiting plastic VCI paper. The steel is then packed with desiccants and covered with plastic to ensure maximum protection.

Each coil of steel carries a bar coded inventory card and a computer generated material identification label. The label provides the coil's width, gauge, grade, Tempel process designation and all other order information. The information included on this label will allow us to trace the material back to the acceptance testing data and mill certifications.
